MASC Cares

We understand that over our period of suspension it has been hard – not only emotionally but also mentally. Therefore we thought of MASC Cares, this will make sure all our members are supported.

We have trained our coaches to look out for potentially those that are experiencing lows in their mental health.

Children and Young People return to sport after COVID-19

As we gradually start to move out of lockdown, supporting children and young people to reintegrate back into sport will be an area that governing bodies and clubs have been planning. It is essential that this incorporates and gives proper attention to child wellbeing and protection considerations.

Getting Fit For Sport

Our guidance is primarily intended for owners and operators of sports facilities, but it can be adapted to support other planning-based work being undertaken by sports, clubs and community organisations as they plan and prepare for when sport can resume. It is applicable to indoor and outdoor sport and can be either used in whole or in part depending on individual circumstances.

Getting Coaches Ready For Sport

This is a guidance document, developed to support partners during the phase 3 return to sport and physical activity period and should be considered in conjunction with the Scottish Government guidance. his guidance is to support coaches, leaders, personal trainers, and instructors on the phased return of sport in Scotland.

Principles for participants with disabilties returning to sport

The return of sport and physical activity for athletes and participants with a disability will be considered on a case by case basis depending on the nature of the activity/sport, the environment, and the underlying health conditions of the athletes. Guidance and advice from Scottish Government, Active Scotland, sportscotland and the sport-specific governing bodies, will be considered.
