SwiMark Plus

Information

On May 2020, our National Governing Body, Scottish Swimming, awarded our club the highly acclaimed SwiMark Plus accreditation. This top accolade demonstrates MASC are leading the way by setting exceptional standards for swimming in the community including strong coaching and effective management structures.

SwiMark Plus is the highest accreditation awarded and successful achievement confirms that MASC has demonstrated a commitment to creating a sustainable swimming development pathway, operates a safe, effective and child-friendly club whilst providing a service in the community that children and young people of all abilities, their parents/carers, and others with an interest in swimming can trust.

Musselburgh ASC is the first swimming club in the county of East Lothian to be SwiMark Plus accredited.

The Club Development Framework is divided into 6 key components (click the links below to be diverted to the page):

Scottish Swimming is delighted that Musselburgh ASC has achieved the highest award of club accreditation awarded by Scottish Swimming.

With the committee and other members working hard to gain this award, they have shown that they are a really strong and sustainable club.

A crucial part of the accreditation is the formation of a development plan, this ensures that the club is making consistent progress and looks towards the future.

The club has excellent structures that have been put in place through the process and this has been demonstrated by all the engagement and activity the club has continued through this recent period of change.

It has been a pleasure working with the club and helping support them to gain their SwiMark+ accreditation.
